Dormer Windows Part 1

DSC_0242Building the Window Frames

We have two arched dormer windows going into the loft to add a bit more head room and light up there. Unlike the rest of our windows, we couldn’t find used or reasonably-priced new windows to fit the size and shape of the openings we wanted. So we decided to make them ourselves. This is the very last step for us in terms of finally closing in the tiny house completely.

Each dormer has three sections of window: The two stationary corner pieces, and the larger movable window in the middle. Here are some photos of the finished frames, now just waiting for glass.
